The Effect of the Part-Time Job

The older I grow, the more independence and responsibility I may have. And I thought that working outside was the main reason for me to be more independent and take more responsibilities for myself. I have already been doing a part-time job for one year. Taking a part-time job has brought a lot of effects to my life and has changed me greatly. I start to earn my own money, spend most of time on working and get a lot of new knowledge through my work.

I am able to earn my own money after I got the part-time job. With my own money, I do not need to ask for much money from my mom all the time. I get to know how much money I should spend and save so that I would not run out of my money. Earning my own money also makes me feel a sense of achievement because I can pay for my own living to some extent.

I spend most of my free time doing the part-time job. After working, I realize that I do not have lots of time to be with my friends and parents. I usually do not have additional time if someone asks me to go out on short notice. Moreover, to earn more money, I spend most of my time working at spare time after school.

Another good thing about working part time is that I learn a lot from my colleagues at work and I also learn much through working. This is my first time to work and it means that this is my first time to work with customers closely. I can learn how to speak politely and how to communication with the customer. My colleagues sometimes share their life experiences, and tell me some common sense for working more efficiently and living an easier life.

After taking the part-time job, I think I become more independent. I really learn a great deal through this part-time job. Through interaction with costumers, I also learn the proper skill of communication. In addition, I become more responsible doing the part-time job because I need to make decisions sometimes by myself and I have to manage my own time and money. Above all, doing a part-time job affects me greatly and it also changes my lifestyle.
