Working with a Group

Evelyn Liao

Working together with a group and working independently are different. I prefer the former because the result would be better. The reasons are as follows. First, it may be more efficient to deal with things in groups, for people would come up with creative ideas when discussing with each other. In addition, working with a group is easier to make new friends.

It is efficient for people to solve problems together. If a person is getting into a trouble, the other person may help to come up with the solution. Moreover, if there are many tasks, two or more people may complete them more quickly than a person may. Thus, it is more efficient to deal with things by working with a group.

People may come up with more ideas and solutions when discussing with different people. What’s more, in the process, people may be inspired, and they would generate ideas or solutions that are even more creative. While talking over the content with each other, people may have directions for a topic and they would come up with different thought so that the result may differ from thinking by oneself. Apparently, it is better to brainstorm in a group.

Working independently is a lonely process, but working with others is fun and inspirational. I can make more friends when working with others. By contrast, I cannot seek for help when having troubles if I work alone, because there is no one for me to turn to. Making friends with more people, I would receive much help if I were in need. In addition, I can develop good relationship with my partners or colleagues who may stand by my side when I encounter difficulties.

To sum up, working with a group is more valuable than working alone. It is always rewarding to work with others. We may benefit a lot when working with different people that come from everywhere. Why not choose to work with a group?
