My Favorite Place in PCCU

Sasa Lee

It always made me smile arriving Chinese Culture University, especially after the bus went through a rugged and rough way. Most of the buildings at PCCU are pretty, but I like Fei-hua building the most. Actually, when the first time I went into the building, I didn’t know what the name of it was. I was just attracted by the green plants behind the yard. I was so touched and surprised that there was a place in the campus like a fairy land. The leaves and flowers quivered when the wind started blowing, and it made them much more lovely than before. I thought that the wind made the plants alive. Then I climbed onto the desk; in fact, I was not sure that was a desk or something, I just wanted to see more from another angle. From this height, I could see the trees growing around a building, like it was in a frame. The building was behind trees, the mountains were behind the building, the gradation was clear and harmonious. The blue sky was the most admirable background of this picture. After I got lost in the fabulous painting for a while, I was curious about the inside of this building. I pushed the door and walked into it. It is really quiet in the building with the wind blocked outsides; it felt like the time was stopped. I kept walking in, and I saw the stones were shaped into a tai-chi on the ground in the middle of the building. I thought it must be the reason why it was so still here: the stones made the atmosphere calm. I noticed the light which went through the French windows; it looked holy and beautiful. If there were angels in the world, they must appear in such hopeful light. It was so beautiful that I couldn’t stop appreciating it even though the bell rang. I left there slowly but carefully, trying not to break the still atmosphere. The door pushed open, the air started flowing in. After the encounter, I went there several times. Every time I left there, I felt so calm but powerful. I thought it must be because of the holy power of it.
