Choosing a Rewarding Occupation

Most people want a rewarding occupation because of different reasons. Some people want to get a better life; some people want to make a change to the world, and some people may just want to get more and more money. The definition of a rewarding occupation to me is a job which can make the life of my family better. The reasons for me to choose a highly rewarding occupation are that I want to have my own home and I want to provide for my parents, and the most important one is that I want to have a relaxing retirement.

The first reason is that I want a home of my own. I always dream that I will have a home which might not be roomy and luxurious but cozy, homey, and relaxing. My parents, my brother and I used to live in a rental house. My mom usually said that we could not do anything with the walls and also the layout of the house. Therefore, I always dream that I can have a house in which I can decorate with anything I want and I will not be afraid of being expelled from the house by the landlord.

Next, I want to provide for my parents when they are retired because they have been really painstaking since we were children. I want to give them a good life and take them to anywhere they want to go after their retirement. As I was a child, I realized that they spent a lot of time and money to raise and teach me and my elder brother. When I was twelve, my mom gave birth to my younger sister, and she was already forty-two at that time. Because of my younger sister, my parents’ lives become more and more economical. To give them a better life of retirement is the only thing I can do for them.

Third, I want have a good life after retirement. I do not want to waste my whole life on earning money and working hard. I want to live with the people who I love in my little but cozy house in a place I love the most. I think that I should work really hard for getting a relaxing retirement. And I want to go to many places, learn many things, and have my own time to do anything I want.

For me, a rewarding job is a job which I can do well and happily; the most important is that I can earn enough money and give my family a better life, because they are what I treasure the most.
