Ingredients:
1 cup active sourdough starter (discard or fed)
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg, sourdough starter, and vanilla extract until combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.

Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
