These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll Ups are a delightful mash‑up of a cinnamon roll and French toast—crispy on the outside, buttery and soft inside, and bursting with cinnamon-sugar flavor. They take just about 15 minutes to prepare using simple pantry ingredients. Roll‑ups are fun to make, kid-friendly, and perfect for dipping in maple syrup or cream cheese glaze. Ideal for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack—these mini roll-ups feel indulgent but are easy enough for everyday treats.
• 12 slices soft white sandwich bread (crusts removed)
• 3 Tbsp softened butter
• ¼ cup light brown sugar
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 2 large eggs
• 3 Tbsp milk
• 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
• Optional: powdered sugar, cream cheese glaze, or maple syrup for serving
Flatten each bread slice using a rolling pin or your hands until thin and pliable.
In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to form the cinnamon filling. Spread evenly over each slice.
Roll each slice tightly into a log, pressing seam-side down.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs and milk to make the French toast mixture.
Heat butter or oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture (briefly, to avoid sogginess), then place in the pan. Cook for about 2–3 minutes per side, turning gently until golden brown on all sides.
While still warm, roll the cooked pieces in the cinnamon-sugar coating mixture.
Serve immediately, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with maple syrup or cream cheese glaze.
