Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
3 green onions, sliced
Cooked rice, for serving
Optional toppings: shredded carrots, cucumber slices, sesame seeds, cilantro
Directions:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and coat the beef.
Remove from heat and stir in sliced green onions.
Serve the beef mixture over steamed rice and top with your choice of shredded carrots, cucumber slices, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro.
