1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shiitake mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 cup napa cabbage, shredded
1 medium carrot, julienned
2 green onions, sliced
8–10 small flour tortillas or Mandarin pancakes
Optional: hoisin sauce for drizzling
Marinate the Chicken:
In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and oyster sauce. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Prepare the Vegetables:
While the chicken marinates, prepare the vegetables. Slice the shiitake mushrooms, shred the napa cabbage, julienne the carrot, and slice the green onions.
Stir-Fry the Chicken:
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and stir-fry for 5–7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink.
Add the Vegetables:
Add the sliced mushrooms, shredded cabbage, and julienned carrots to the skillet. Stir-fry for an additional 3–4 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Assemble the Moo Shu Chicken:
Warm the flour tortillas or Mandarin pancakes according to package instructions. Spoon the chicken and vegetable mixture onto each tortilla or pancake. Garnish with sliced green onions and drizzle with additional hoisin sauce, if desired.
Serve:
Fold the sides of the tortilla or pancake over the filling and roll it up. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Moo Shu Chicken!
