Ingredients:
For the Marinade:
1.5 lbs boneless chicken thighs (cut into bite-sized pieces)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
1/2 teaspoon five spice powder (optional)
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
For Grilling:
Bamboo skewers (soaked in water for at least 30 minutes)
Cooking oil for brushing
Directions:
In a bowl, mix all the marinade ingredients until well combined.
Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked skewers.
Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Brush lightly with oil to prevent sticking.
Grill the chicken skewers for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
Optional: Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds for extra flavor.
