Ingredients:
1 ½ pounds ground beef (preferably 80% lean)
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 large egg
½ cup milk
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon dried parsley
½ cup ketchup (for topping)
2 tablespoons brown sugar (for topping)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (for topping)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, thyme, and parsley. Mix gently but thoroughly until combined.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish or loaf pan.
In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Spread this glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite sides.
