Ingredients:
1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
8 large eggs
1 cup milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 cups bread cubes (day-old bread works best)
1 small onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Spread bread cubes evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Layer cooked sausage, diced onion, and bell pepper over the bread. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the casserole. Press down gently to ensure everything is submerged in the eggs.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
