Funnel Cake Bites are a fun, bite-sized version of the classic fairground favorite. Light, crispy, and dusted with powdered sugar, these sweet treats are quick to make and perfect for parties, snacks, or simply indulging in a nostalgic dessert at home.
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Vegetable oil, for frying
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a smooth batter forms.
Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, drop small portions of batter into the hot oil.
Fry the bites for about 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and puffed.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
While still warm, dust the funnel cake bites generously with powdered sugar.
