Enjoy nostalgic, flaky Pop‑Tarts made effortlessly in the air fryer—courtesy of Princess Pinky Girl’s recipe. Using store‑bought refrigerated pie crusts and your favorite fruit filling (like cherry pie filing), these pastries are sealed, air‑fried to golden perfection, then drizzled with a sweet homemade glaze. They’re quicker than oven baking and lighten up the treat by skipping deep frying. Perfect for breakfast, snack, or dessert, these Pop‑Tarts are customizable, portable, and irresistibly fun. Have leftovers? They store beautifully and reheat quickly in seconds.
For the Pop‑Tarts:
2 pie crusts (refrigerated)
½–1 Tbsp cherry pie filling per tart
Water (for sealing edges)
For the Glaze:
1½ cups powdered sugar
2–3 Tbsp whole milk (adjust for spreadable consistency)
1 Tbsp lemon juice (or vanilla extract)
Sprinkles (optional)
Roll pie crusts to about ¼ inch thickness and cut rectangles (~3 × 4 inches).
Place ½–1 Tbsp pie filling in center of half the rectangles. Wet edges with water.
Top with another rectangle, pressing edges firmly with a fork to seal and crimp. Make 2–3 small slits on top for steam.
Preheat air fryer to 350 °F. Place tarts in basket without overcrowding. Cook for 7–8 minutes until lightly browned.
Remove and allow tarts to cool completely.
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and lemon juice (or vanilla) until smooth. Drizzle over cooled tarts. Add sprinkles immediately for decoration.
