Ingredients
4 salmon fillets
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
½ teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
¼ cup honey
1 tablespoon lime juice
Soy sauce, to taste
Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Lime wedges (for serving)
Directions
Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Cook the Salmon: Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side up, and cook for 3 minutes until a golden crust forms. Flip the fillets and cook for an additional minute.
Add Butter: Move the salmon to one side of the skillet. Add the butter and let it melt. Tilt the skillet to allow the butter to pool, then spoon it over the salmon for 1–2 minutes until the bottom side is golden and the salmon is nearly cooked through. Remove the fillets from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce: Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and chili flakes to the skillet. Sauté for 10–20 seconds until fragrant. Stir in honey, lime juice, and soy sauce. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Glaze the Salmon: Return the salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the salmon is fully cooked and glazed.
Serve: Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side. Enjoy your Hot Honey Salmon with steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
