We have a few things to be very thankful about where Paul McCartney is concerned.
Paul McCartney at his worst is better than any other musician in history at their worst, still capable of making nice, melodic, unique music that makes a pleasant afternoon.
And one of the things that Sir Paul likes to do with his life is record an insanely large amount of music.
The Venus and Mars album is basically Sir Paul coasting- and yet if I were stranded on a desert island with just Venus and Mars and two other albums like it (say, the two that followed it), it would be an idea of paradise
Which brings me to the criminally critically underappreciated Wings album Back to the Egg.
I just discovered this album, and it is amazing.
Belongs up with the insanely creative albums that Paul McCartney has released throughout the 21st Century so far.
The legendary art-rock experimenter.
For this is basically a kicking 80s New Wave Ram- from 1979- that belongs on our shelf of 80s gems and magic alongside The Goonies and the Indiana Jones movies.
Let me be the one to stand up for this incredible album!
God loves you! Good listening!
Sincerely,
David S. Annderson
