We Are Headed to a Stable, Peaceful World Order. Here's Why
Most of the conflicts of the past hundred years have been afteraffects of the wounds of European colonialism and two World Wars.
The first World War caused the second and the Cold War. The social causes that caused the first World War are mostly gone. All of the major social causes must be present to cause such a war.
In particular, people were scared of the power of the new Industrial weapons, of the power of the machine gun.
People were scared that whoever started the war would win before anyone could succeed in defending themselves.
People were scared of letting someone else start the fight first.
Now people are more scared of starting a fight.
Another World War I cannot happen.
World War II and the Cold War were caused by World War I.
The instability in places like the middle east is caused by European colonialism combined with the World Wars.
These problems will be worked out eventually in time.
But there are other patterns.
We are headed to a stable world order!
We are headed to a new Golden Age!
There are three systems: millitary, economic, and Internet.
There is one dominant millitary power, the United States, and they are a responsible world citizen and a member of a wider alliance of responsible citizens, NATO.
There is no other country that is trying to police the world like the United States is.
India and China are satisfied to defend their own territory and let the United States police the world.
Russia can defend itself, for they have the Russian winter, but Russia is not a match for the United States, not without the Ukraine.
I doubt that Russia ever quite equalled the United States, they just dominated everything close to them and had the Russian winter on their side, and now they are behind technologically and no longer have the rich resources of the Ukraine.
Once Putin dies, they too will be more interested in defending themselves- something that they are more than equipped to do, having the Russian winter on their side.
No one else is in a position to challenge the United States economically, and so many countries are likely to follow India and China's lead and simply be interested in defending their own territories.
So... millitarily we have a fairly stable system.
Economically?
Economically it is all one city.
On the Internet it is all one city.
Economically, and where the Internet is concerned, we are One.
We are so closely intertwined that war between major powers simply does not make sense.
This is why the United States will never end up at war with China.
The economies of the two countries are just too closely linked.
China will not make war on the United States. The United States is their customer base!
China and the United States make war, both country's economies crash!
And the same ties link the whole entire world together!
Which leaves communications.
With the Internet, we are not all one city.
We are all one neighborhood.
We are all one small town.
We are all but family.
This is why we are now, in the early 21st Century, headed to a stable world order!
The kinks will be worked out!
The messes left over from colonialism and two World Wars in places like Palestine and Putin's Russia will fade away in time, will be fixed!
We are headed to Utopia!
Like no era ever before!
