toungue in cheek: LA to a N. Californian (or 'If Coolio and Wierd Al can rip off Stevie Wonder, so can I')

As I walk through the valley as I wait for my train

  I take a look at the landscape and realize it's very plain

In fact just about the only green I see

  Is the occasional leaf of a scraggly palm tree

It's no wonder the beaches are so famous here

  It's the only water I've seen all year

It's a wonder they can be so creative here

  I guess it's the sea that inspires them here

I've been living most of my life living in a Desert paradise

I've seen trees once or twice living in a Desert paradise

Northern California sure looks nice living in a Desert paradise

I guess I'll swim at the beach once or twice living in a Desert paradise

Sorry LA... you're a nice place, but come on- it's Northern California we're talking about here!

                  (And really, Southern California is a very beautiful place, including LA, with the glorious Sea and beautiful

                     Foothills- but we N. Californians are very attatched to the natural beauty of N. California!)

*And seriously, southern California is an incredibly beautiful place!
