I live in America in 2023. I am a man. Theoretically. But the more I hear 'be a man', the more ashamed I am to be a man, and the more proud I am to be like a little girl!
You hear it all the time here in early 21st Century America. Be a man. Be tough. Be ugly, and mean. Stand up for yourself, and punch someone in the face.
No wonder I have always idolized the idea of being a girl!
The farther from 'be a man' you get, the more you don't have to be mean!
And you don't get farther from being a 'man' than being like a little girl!
So go ahead! Dress up!
Look pleasant, instead of trying to scare everyone around you!
Go ahead! use kind words! Be gentle! Talk of things like kindness and friendship!
Actually Act like Jesus, rather than acting like Darth Vader in the name of Christ!

I'm so tired of toxic masculinity!
I understand now why I always idolized the idea of being a girl!
I am proud to be a metrosexual! I am proud to be a girly man!
No more being mean to prove myself a 'man'!
I will be the kind of man that Jesus, The Buddha and Confucius would have admired!
God loves you! Remember that! You don't need to prove yourself to get my love or God's, you are fine the way you are! Just trying your best to be kind is enough!
