When using Feng Shui principles in the southern hemisphere, like in Sydney, Australia, you should reverse the roles of North and South. When the tradition says North, you should use South, and vice-versa.
Why?
Feng Shui is not superstition. It is science. It is the science of interior design.
It is scientific principles for the art of interior design in order to affect your emotions and make you feel good.
And the significance of north and south is in the position of the sun in the sky.
The South gets more sun. The north gets less sun.
In the southern hemisphere, like in Sydney, Australia or Buenos Aires, the roles of north and south are reversed. The sun is coming from the north, not the south.
The north gets more sun, not the south. The south gets less sun, not the north.
So naturally, the principles of Feng Shui in regards to north and south should be reversed in the southern hemisphere.
If you live in Sydney, Australia, every time Feng Shui says north, you should do south, and every time Feng Shui says south, you should do north.
Because in the southern hemisphere, the sun is coming from the north and not the south and the roles of north and south are reversed.
