How can I put this in a way that Republicans would understand?
What would you think if I said that we should let the inner-city gangs of the poor neighborhoods regulate themselves? That we should let the crypts and the bloods run things?
That would be absurd. Of course we would not do that. We would call the police.
We would call in the government.
Well, what works for the poor neighborhoods works for the rich neighborhoods.
We should not let rich people regulate themselves. We should not let corporations regulate themselves.
We should expect them to follow law and order. We should call the police.
We should call the government.
That is why we need government regulation of big corporations.
