1Z-3: The humans in the church are flawed. That's okay

The church represents God. But the humans in the church are ordinary humans like you and me. They will make a few mistakes.

That's okay. They're imperfect, flawed humans like the rest of us.

God meant His Divine light to be represented often by flawed humans.

What really matters is that they try to represent Love.

If they try to represent love, expect them to be flawed humans like the rest of us. People from out of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Expect them to be like the Wife of Bath.

That's okay. They can still represent the divine light of love.

It's okay if the humans in the church, or whatever organization represents the divine light of God to you, are flawed.

It's the Love that they represent that is perfect.

They don't have to be.

Sincerely,

David S. Annderson

PS remember that the next time you read of the Catholic Church's treatment of Galileo in the early 1600's! Flawed humans make mistakes! That doesn't take away from all the good that people like pope John Paul II and Mother Theresa have done in the world!

PPS remember that too when you judge the United States government in the 20th Century! Our country had its flaws. That does not take away from all the good that people like John F. Kennedy did in the world, that does not take away from the fact that we saved the World from Hitler and Stalin and gave the world new hope! For the humans in the United States government in the 20th Century were flawed humans like you and me too! And they did some wonderful things in spite of all their flaws!
