Michael was the last person in America to stick his neck out for Love and put it into racial terms, and they came after him for that.
Britney stood up for Love and was the figurehead, the symbolic leader of the Pop movement in the late 90's which stood for Love, and they came after her for that
But Britney is still here, and still doing her thing
She can't find anyone to write real lyrics for her anymore*, not since the third album when she was still working with Max Martin, and she has so little support for what she does
But she is still doing her thing, even without real lyrics
She stood up for Love and they came after her
Michael stood up for Love and even put it in racial terms and they came after him
So I'm here to back them up
