On Achieving Greatness

'Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.'- Maria, Twelfth Night, William Shakespeare

But the truth about greatness is that no one is born great, but everyone is born with the potential for greatness.

To be great, you need to seek out greatness.  You need to work hard to build greatness up within yourself.  And you need to know what kind of greatness to seek out and to build.

To seek out merely strength?    Or to contribute to the world?    To be a greatness that others will fear and hate, or to seek a greatness that will help others, that will build up and inspire?

You must first decide what kind of greatness to seek.    Then you must seek it out, and build it up within yourself.

I am not contradicting Shakespeare.  Look up the original context of the quote.  You will not regret it.  Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare's best comedies.

God loves you!

Sincerely,
