Tribute to two great lead singers and a Muppet legend

Here's to Rob Grill, lead singer of The Grassroots, one of the great bands, who died in 2011+, and Jerry Nelson, legendary Muppeteer, who also sang lead for the great Sesame Street rock group Little Jerry and the Monotones*, who left us in 2012. (Don't worry- he passed on his Muppet characters to his understudy/protege years ago!)

*Did you know that many of the Muppet rock groups on Sesame Street wrote their own music in real life? I have a whole page on it! (Let's just say that songwriters Christopher Cerf and Jeff Moss are/were great singers too, especially as Rock singers! (so is Cheryl Hardwick, but I don't know of her singing on any of her own songs!))

+Also Producer Steve Barri, with Rob Grill the heart and soul of The Grassroots, their Brian Wilsons, who also wrote 'Eve of Destruction' with his friend P. F. Sloan and co-produced several great hits for The Four Tops in the early 70's^

(He's still with us, as of late July 2017) ^(Ain't No Woman like the One I've Got, Keeper of the Castle, others)
