Just two things. First, that Let It Be is one of the most massively underrated albums of all time, at least relative to the rest of the Beatles albums.
I mean, this album contains Get Back, Let it Be, The Long and Winding Road, Across the Universe, I Me Mine, and Two of Us... are you kidding me? This is an album worthy of the gods!
Second, I believe that the ideal version of the album- and one we can re-create now- would have the original song order, the overdubbed versions of all the John and George songs, but the naked version of the Paul songs. Especially to honor their wishes as individuals... but also because, in my homble opinion, they were right. Across the Universe and I Me Mine are greatly improved in the overdubbed original release- I Me Mine not so much by any overdubs, but because they edited the track to repeat the middle and the final section in order to make the song not way too short- and that the modified Across the Universe and I Me Mine are among The Beatles' best ever tracks- but that the rest of the album, and in particular the Paul McCartney tracks, really do not need it. The naked version of The Long and Winding Road, in particular, is far better in my opinion, and so is the naked version of Let it Be, even though very little got swamped in the overdubbed version. (unlike Long and Winding Road!)
That's all!
God loves you!
Sincerely,
