In my time the intellectual establishment has gotten greedy.
They are withholding information from the public.
It is harder than it was 40 years ago to find out information on science, and this despite the Internet, which the public did not have 40 years ago.
40 years ago biologists used the Linnean classification system. The Linnean classification system is a great teaching tool. Simply look up a group, family, order, it does not matter, and it will teach you what it is.
Now they have replaced the Linnean clasification system with something else. You look up the definition of a group, and you get this kind of gobbledygook: the definition of --- (a group of dionsaurs) is defined as all dinosaurs more closely related to Tyrannosaurus than to Brachiosaurus.
This definition does not tell you shit about the animal involved.
It don't teach anything.
The damn scientists are withholding information from the public!
The intellectual aristocracy is withholding information from the public!
And the great mass of scientists among the general public will be hopping mad when they find out!
Now a person cannot look up what, say, a bryozoan is and learn what it is, what form the animal takes, in the new classification system
Because the new classification system don't teach shit! It only gives some gobbledygook about what animals it is related to!
And this is not the only way that the intellectual establishment is withholding information.
I do not have access to scholarly papers on the Internet.
You will notice that in my stories, I rarely list scholarly papers as references.
That is because I am barred from having access to them, because I am not a professional scientist.
The damn scientists are withholding information from the public!
Wonder why so many people in America don't believe in evolution, or in global warming?
The intellectual aristocracy is withholding information from the public!
They have gotten greedy!
The intellectual aristocracy is no longer interested in educating the public!
They have gotten greedy, and are withholding information so that they can feel like they're better than the rest of us!
And believe me, when this gets out to the great mass of scientists among the public, they will be hopping mad!
Because the intellectual aristocracy may not be interested in educating the public, but you can bet your butt that the great mass of scientists and professors among the public are! Believe me, my Dad is a math professor at a small local college, and he would be so mad if he knew!
Now you know why so many people in America don't believe in evolution, and think that the Earth is flat!
Because it is so hard now to find information about science from proper science books and papers!
Thank God for Wikipedia and science and history blogs! Because this is the only place where most of us- including your author David S. Annderson, who puts in hours of Internet research into it- can learn now! There are no more scholarly books and papers on science available to the public, and when we do have access to them, half the time they teach gibberish like this gobbledygook that has replaced the Linnean classification system!
You look it up, and you don't know if a Bryozoan looks like a tiny sea anenome like a coral animal, or a cat that lives in the rain forest!
The intellectual aristocracy is withholding information from us!
God loves you! Keep up those science and history blogs! We need them badly!
