America's Got Talent 2022

I just got finished watching the Lebanese dance group Mayyas who won America's Got Talent this year!

I would like to say... first of all, that was wonderful! Like a dance sequence from a famous Bollywood movie!

Second- welcome to America! I am so glad to see a Lebanese dance group get recognition in America!

America is a country of immigrants!

It is people like them who built America!

This is our roots!

Remember, if you live in America, unless you have a name like Pocahantas, your ancestors came over in a boat!

Why should the Lebanese be less welcome than the English?

America is the way it is because we welcomed people like the Irish, the Jews, the Mexicans, the Italians, the Cubans into America- by embracing Lebanese immigrants, we are embracing the source of our own strength and identity!

So Let's celebrate this moment as a celebration of America's roots, for we are a nation of immigrants!

And let's celebrate America rejoining the wider world!
