I'm just saying- and I do believe that this is so very important- don't take it out on people who voted for Trump. Most of them are good people who were scared and fooled. Most of them would never behave like the rioters. Most of them are, I'm sure, absolutely horrified at what happened.
So have pity on people who appear to be good decent people who voted for Trump. Most of them are nothing like the rioters. You'll know the difference. It'll be obvious. If they act like bullies, then they're the bad kind, like the rioters. If they don't act like bullies, then they are good decent innocent people who were scared and fooled. Have pity on them.
And if you aren't sure, then have pity on them anyway. Love and pity is never wrong.
It's okay to pity the rioters. You can denounce their actions and still have pity on them. Love the sinner, hate the sin.
And remember, most people who voted for trump are nothing like that. Pity them. Love them. Reach out to them. Only Love can heal this.
