Why the Yazidis are not Devil-worshippers: The Peacock Angel Remained Loyal To God
Yazidism is a pre-Islamic monotheist religion among the Kurds that was influenced by a Sufi saint. There is a lot of misinformation regarding them in traditional Judeo-Christian communities.
The chief representative of God in Yazidism is called the Peacock Angel. God once told the Peacock Angel to never submit to any being but God Himself. So, when God tested the Peacock Angel, telling him to submit to Adam, the Peacock Angel refused, since this contradicted what God had ordered him to do earlier.
In Islam, Satan is said to have rebelled against God by refusing to submit to Adam when God told him to.
The Peacock Angel is NOT Satan.
It is unimportant whether Satan rebelled against Adam.
Rebelling against Adam is only important because Allah, God, ordered Satan to submit to Adam.
Satan rebelled against God.
In every Judeo-Christian religion, Satan's defining characteristic is that he rebelled against God.
The Peacock Angel refused to submit to Adam out of loyalty to God, because God had told him earlier to never submit to anyone other than God.
The Peacock Angel remained loyal to God.
Hence the Peacock Angel is the OPPOSITE of Satan.
Satan rebelled against God, not just Adam.
The Peacock Angel remained loyal to God.
Yazidis worship God, not Satan.
And there is another reason that Yazidis are not devil-worshippers: they do not teach hate. They teach love, just like all true religions. Satan teaches Hate. You will know devil-worshippers when you see them. There will be no doubt. The Nazis were devil-worshippers. You could never mistake these peaceful people for Nazis! You will know true Devil-worshippers when you see them!
It is Satan who spread the lie that Yazidis worship Satan.
Do Not follow the Lie!
Reject the Lie of Satan!
Yazidis are not that different from Muslims and Christians!
Welcome them as fellow Believers!
And follow the example of Jesus and Muhammed! Love your neighbor! Remember what you have been taught as Christians and Muslims! Love your neighbor as it says in the Bible and the Koran!
And love each other! Christians and Muslims are brothers!
