Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so

But the parts of The Bible that tell me so are rendered unintelligible in a modern English translation!

To read that Jesus loves you you need a King James translation!

Because most of The Bible is devoted to complex thought

Complex, difficult answers to complex, difficult situations

Real answers to Life's hardest situations

Modern translations seek to simplify the language

And the simplified language simply cannot carry the complex ideas

And since the modern world is afraid of religion

The modern translations always oversimplify the ideas to make God sound like He's angry at us!

The message is often something like this: God loves you, but God is angry at what you are doing right now. God wants you to try harder to do this instead!

And the modern translation oversimplifies it into: God is angry at you! Do this!

The simple language simply cannot carry the complex ideas!

And the oversimplification does not represent God! God does not bark orders!!! God is your friend!!!

If you need simple instructions, that is what the Ten Commandments are for!

And the Golden Rule! That is all the simple instructions you will ever need!

Jesus loves you

The Bible tells you so

But you need a King James translation (or other traditional translation in your language which uses complex literary language)

In order to read it!

God loves you!

Sincerely,

David S. Annderson
