Anyone notice this?

Steven Spielberg, in his 'E.T./Close Encounters/Jurassic Park' phase (my favorite part of his legacy by far) was obviously and brilliantly influenced by Michelangelo and Raphael, the Sistine Chapel ceiling and Raphael's Transfiguration.

Just look at Raphael's Transfiguration and Michelangelo's The Birth of Adam from the Sistine Chapel ceiling and watch E.T. You'll see.

Of course E.T.'s healing touch is inspired by The Birth of Adam.

Also any and all of the three scenes of God and the Creation that begin the central series of pictures in the Sistine Chapel ceiling. Steven Spielberg's sense of awe came from right there, directly and through Raphael's Transfiguration.

Raphael's Transfiguration inspired the dramatic lighting effects in Spielberg's E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, of course.

Michelangelo and Raphael's brilliant modern cinematic successor!

God loves you!

Sincerely,

David S. Annderson

P.S. This part of Steven Spielberg's legacy was part of what inspired me to find my vision as a writer. I am descended from this phase of Steven Spielberg's career!
