People often come on the radio or something and claim that horrible things are out there somewhere.
Like, for example, that slavery is still rampant in the world. That's a big one, because all white people than are supposed to feel guilty, and all black people are supposed to be afraid.
Anyone can claim that horrible things are out there somewhere.
The world is a huge immense place. How do you prove them wrong? Search the entire world?
But where is the evidence?
If there are huge, horrible things out there lurking to get us, than where is the evidence?
If slavery is rampant, where are the slaves being kept?
Howcome we don't hear about runaway slaves on the news?
If there are horrible things out to get us, howcome we don't hear about the people being hurt by it on the news?
Anyone can claim that bad things are out there.
But where is the evidence?
And if there is no evidence, and as far as we know it isn't affecting anyone, then we might as well treat it like it doesn't exist!
And not be afraid!
