He was an autistic child

He should be sad

But he talked of ideas to defy

Refuses to give in    To the misery of grunge

Told us that we would be okay

David told us to be happy

(why did he tell us?)

Told us that we were okay

(didn't he know better?)

Didn't he know we're supposed to be

(Sad and angry and prepared)

Supposed to live in fear while David he is preaching

That we will be okay and we all should all be happy

Doesn't he know that this is the age of Grunge?

It's so heavy liv-ing in the end of

Time, in these days around us

David tells us that we have survived worse

An autistic child, shouldn't he be sad?

Shouldn't he be angry with us?

David, does he see something we don't
