There are two things that America used to be so, so great at and is now so, so bad at
And that's music and comedy. Especially music and stand-up comedy.
And I hate to pick on things, but both were ruined by rap. With help from Grunge.
Every rock band in America is expected to be a Grunge clone.
Every music in America that is not Grunge or Country is expected to be rap or electronica disco. Country is actually the closest in spirit to Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis that music gets in America now.
Gangsta rap is shoved up your ass in the American media. It is so, so pushed. We are up to our ears in Gangsta Rap every time we turn on the Corporate Media.
Every comedian in America is expected to be a Chris Rock clone. The meaner the better.
The only comedians who are not Chris Rock clones are Steve Harvey and Ellen Degeneres, and you can see how they have been treated now that Robin Williams is no longer around to defend them.
They wouldn't mess with Robin Williams. Big Rap Media knows they were not gonna win that one.
There aren't any more Jewish stand-up comedians. The Jews know better. They've been doing this for 2,000 years.
The Jews know that they don't want to be standing up there in front of a mic saying, 'look at me! I'm so different! Come persecute me!'
You know who I feel sorry for? Blacks who don't wanna be Gangsta Rap.
Pray for them. They have it hard.
Hold your head up, and be kind. We'll make it. America doesn't have to be good at music and comedy.
We still have our movies. We still have Everything Everywhere all at Once, the Barbie movie, and Black Panther.
Everything Everywhere All at Once and the Barbie movie are our new Revolution, the new Jimi Hendirx and Bob Dylan.
Black Panther is the new version of the old Revolution, the one that predates rap by many years.
The one that Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix were part of, and Steven Spielberg, Steven Spielberg in the old days before he was Grunge.
God loves you! We'll get through this!
Sincerely,
David S. Annderson
P.S. This was hard to publish. They don't like it when you say bad things about rap. And by they, I don't mean the people. And I don't mean Blacks.
(Or the indie rap record labels. They only record it and distribute it. They're not the ones who push it as the only thing we're supposed to do.)
P.P.S. You wanna know the truth? It feels like America's entire stand-up comedy scene is my childhood playground bullies come back to haunt me, only now with race as a theme.
Ha ha, David S. Annderson's just a worthless white piece of shit that donesn't deserve to live!*
I do too deserve to live! *(when you're an intuitive feeler, you don't remember their exact words, you remember what they meant! All you INFP's will understand!))
I've tried so hard to help Black people, but on TV all that matters is my skin color and my social akwardness.
I wish Al Roker was the one who was cool. He's nice.
That's the only place you find nice people on American television- doing the weather and the morning shows! That and Big Bang Theory and its spinoffs!
And that's the real problem- the last time it was cool to be nice in America, 80s hair was still in, Eddie Murphy was an action star, and Bill Clinton was not yet a star in California!
Thank you Eddie Murphy and Chris Tucker for being bright lights in the middle of all this! And thank you to Tyler Perry! You're a national treasure!
