Here come the Men In Black... But they're the Good Guys!

You know the government conspiracy trope, the whole government conspiracy thing in the X-Files and things like that... Do you know who came up with that?

It was Steven Spielberg.

In Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

There's a thing about his depiction of the government conspiracy trope, though....

They turn out to be the good guys.

In E.T., in Close Encounters of the Third kind... we're afraid of them at first, they're mysterious and all- but in the end it turns out that the government conspiracy guys in those movies are the good guys.

Just like the Men In Black.

Go back and watch the original Steven Spielberg masterpieces. E.T., Close encounters of the Third Kind... in both of those movies, the original government conspiracy movies, the government conspiracy guys turn out to be the good guys.

Just like the Men In Black.

And when we were fighting the Nazis and the Soviets, in real life, the government conspiracy guys were definitely the good guys!

Food for thought.

Sincerely,
