People with full-blown autism are intelligent!

But they need a lot of help learning to tune out the distractions of their autism.

It is that they are distracted by the intense feelings of their autism, that keeps them from realizing their intelligence more fully.

I know a man with full-blown autism who was trained by his mom to tune out the distractions, who now lives a full, independent life, in a room and board where he gets help when he needs it, but where he is the owner's right-hand man in many things, and helps run the place.

He is the one who often knows how to take care of mechanical things, to do things like clean up or organize things, and when the owner has to do something difficult, he does it with his help.

He contributes to the room and board far more than he receives help, and he does not need that much help.

This is his dream life come true, the life he wants to live.  He has chosen this job and this life.

People with full-blown autism can live out their dreams, as my friend at the room and board is living out his, they only need help learning to tune out the massive distractions of their autism!  Which is very, very difficult- but can be done!  My distractions as someone with Asperger's Syndrome are often painful, but they interfere and distract from my thought process far less than full-blown autism!  But I know what they are, and can see that they work in the same way in full-blown autism.

Just wanted to let you know!

God loves you!

Sincerely,

David S. Annderson
