Fudging the truth for the sake of weak imaginations

I believe that the Muslims are right about God and that the Christians are right about Jesus.

That the Muslims are right about God- God is One, and Indivisible. As a Christian, that is always what I was taught.

And that the Christians are right about Jesus, that Jesus is, as He claimed He was, an incarnation of God born into this world to save us.

And not even the only time. The Hindus can tell you of several other times that God was born into this world as a mortal to save us.

So where is all the confusion?

Where does all the conflict of ideas come from?

From when people ask the question, 'who was running the Universe when God was living on this Earth as Jesus?'

The truth is that God can do that. He is God. He can be in two different places at once.

But that takes a pretty big leap of the imagination to accept.

Christianity and Islam both fudge the truth for the sake of weak imaginations.

Islam teaches the truth about God, and fudges the truth of Jesus, teaching that Jesus is only a prophet.

A prophet, by the way, who is as holy to Muslims as Mary is to Catholics. And to Catholics, Mary is the Mother of God and practically a god herself.

Jesus is as holy to Muslims as Mary is to Catholics.

Thay did not fudge the truth about Jesus much.

Christianity, on the other hand, teaches the truth of Jesus and fudges the truth about God. Again, for the sake of converting those with weak imaginations.

But those of us with strong imaginations who were raised Christian know the truth: Jesus is God and God is One and God can be in two places at once.

But it is very important to help out those with weak imaginations that don't understand that God can be in two places at once!

And both teach all the parts of the truth that really matter: that God loves us and wants us to love each other, and that God will save us!

And many other good and wonderful and purfectly true things besides!

God loves you! Allahu Akbar! God is Great!

Sincerely,

David S. Annderson

P.S. Why is it a trinity and not just two different people in God? Because ancient Egypt always had trinities of Gods, and the ancient Mediterranean was used to trinities. And the Bible described a fine candidate for the third in the Trinity in the Holy Spirit of God- really the Spirit of God the Father Allah the Lord our God who is always everywhere and is always right there with us- as described in the book of Acts. So, it is simply because ancient Egypt always had trinities of gods and the people were used to trinities.

Although in ancient Egypt the trinities were always a father, a mother and a child.

God the Father, Mary the Mother, Jesus the Son! :)

And Mary too is as holy to Muslims as she is to Catholics!
