Communism is the government taking over people's property. Socialism is the government giving to the poor.
The United States has been socialist for almost 90 years- since FDR in 1933!
The United States is more Socialist today than the Soviet Union ever was!

She had to work to support her family when she was a child because her father died in the war and her mother was a single mother.
In a true Socialist state no single mother would ever have to work! Let alone their children!
Social Security.
That is Socialism.
Social security, as we have it in the United States. That is socialism.
Communism was never Socialist.
The communists thought they were socialist. They were confused.
No one in the Democratic Party wants Communism.
No one in the Democratic Party wants the government to run the economy.
The socialists in the Democratic Party want to support Social Security.
The Socialists in the Democratic party want to tax the rich to give to the poor.
That is Socialism.

America under Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the original Socialist state.
America as we know it today was built on Socialism. Under Franklin Roosevelt.
America as we know it today was built on the coexistence of Socialism and Capitalism- Both. Together. At the same time. That was the American way.
America has been both Capitalist and Socialist for almost 90 years! That's our roots! That was the secret to America's success!
We don't have to choose one or the other- we have been both for almost 90 years! That's our roots! The secret to our success in the mid to late 20th Century, in our Golden Age! Being both Capitalist and Socialist- at the same time! In the name of Freedom!

That was Socialism! Socialism and Capitalism- together! In the name of Freedom! That was the American way!
