I am writing this to tell you about a great science fiction show inspired by Star Trek.
It is called The Orville, and it is inspired by Star Trek.
Critics often describe The Orville as a Star Trek parody.
It is not. It is not a comedy. It is a serious show like Star Trek, and a tribute to Star Trek.
This is a thoughtful, well-written show that explores the galaxy like Star Trek, and probably the best non-comedy television show America has produced since the days of Stargate so many years ago (I am writing this in 2023).
It is also a show with a very human heart, a show as wonderfully human as something like Friends or Frasier, only primarily as a serious show, though like Star Wars and Indiana Jones, the show has humor on the side, and does the humor as well as Friends and Frasier ever did.
This may be the best science fiction show America has produced since Star Trek: Voyager and Farscape.
I believe that one day this will be considered show creator Seth MacFarlane's masterpiece.
