Hope for America in December 2023

It is early December 2023.  Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has just called out the president of Harvard for not condemning taunts of genocide against Jews on his campus.

It has been a hard month and a half.  Events in Gaza have made it very hard for people in America who have been indoctrinated to believe that they must choose sides in a conflict.

Very few in America truly wish harm to anyone but the terrorists in the Gaza war.^  But when you have been taught that you must choose a side, a tragedy like this becomes very difficult to come to terms with.

The situation in Gaza makes it painfully obvious that when war happens and people hurt, that we must pray and cry for the innocent on both sides.

Representative Elise Stefanik has made a reputation as one of the more outrageous Trump supporters among those who actually hold public office.

Some people might think it a bad sign that a Trump supporter is all of a sudden the voice of reason.

Not me.

I celebrate!

After all the lies, fear, and more lies from Trump's Republican party, seeing someone who apparently once participated in those lies now standing up for kindness makes me think that the tide is turning!

The lies are losing ground!

Someone has seen the light!

There is hope for us all here in America!

For the moment when someone on Donald Trump's side stands up for love, kindness, and the safety of the innocent in all good faith is the moment that all the darkness is beginning to turn!

Soon perhaps we will not have to fear the next election!

I never doubted that there is hope for America!

This is just something that we are working our way through right now!

It will pass!

The point is- when someone who once supported Donald Trump's lies and fear supports the light of kindness, I celebrate!

This is hope for us all!

A hope I never doubted!

Things are turning around!

Do not fear in America, for things are turning around!

This terrible war in Gaza is terrible, but part of America's response to it has brought us back to love and kindness, even as the issue of the war seems to stoke the flames of madness!

Humanity responds to things like this!

It is because of this that the world still has so much light in it, for 80 and 100 years ago the world suffered the Apocalypse, starting in 1914!

And yet the world is recovering!

The tragedy in Gaza has reminded some of us here in America what really matters!

America will get past this!

And we are seeing the beginning of the light at the end of the tunnel!

Thank you, Elise Stefanik, you shone bright at this moment!

Your actions have moved me to tears!    This is our salvation here in America!  The light of kindness!

We all have potential for the light!  Never forget that!

That is why there is still so much light in the world today, after the Apocalypse 80 and 100 years ago!

God loves you!

Sincerely,

David S. Annderson

^The Jews are not gonna lose their place in America!  The Jews did not lose their place in Poland until Poland fell!  The Jews did not lose their place in medieval Baghdad until Baghdad fell!  Americans are stressed out right now, and most of them are only just now learning that many of the Palestinians are innocent victims.  For the past 20 years Americans have been indoctrinated to believe that they must choose sides in a conflict, must be against one side, and they are having a hard time dealing with the tragedy in Gaza as a result.  That does not mean that Americans will turn against the Jews.  The fact that one of Trump's crazier followers was shocked back into supporting love and kindness by seing Jews bullied proves this.  You guys are steeped into America's collective hearts!  I know that there is antisemetic crime right now.  There is a record number of shootings towards everyone in America right now, not just the Jews..  That does not mean that everyone will lose their place in America!  The Jews will never lose their place in America as long as America is unfallen!
