A good reason to admire Black athletes, or what is so surprising about Michael Vick

So many athletes come into so much money, pressure and fame at such a young age.

Many of them are from difficult backgrounds in the ghetto.

What's so surprising about Michael Vick is that we don't hear about more athletes from the ghetto that end up like him.

That we don't hear about more athletes from the ghetto who end up legitamately in trouble with the law.

Most Black athletes are from difficult backgrounds in the ghetto, and so many of them who do become famous become famous at such a young age.

95 % of them will never do anything worse than say something stupid on television about something that is not important.

How many famous Black athletes ever become notorious for doing anything really bad?

And yet how many of them come from these difficult backgrounds in the ghetto, gain huge amounts of fame, money and pressure at such a young age- and then never end up melting down from it all?

How many of them end up becoming true gentlemen like Lebron James?

Or the worse thing they ever are caught doing is doing Marijuana, or dancing in the end zone?

We need to recognize the accomplishments of Black athletes as good role models far more!

Celebrate what good they do off the field, and what bad they do not do off the field!

I'm sure the Black athletes contribute far more to charity than their counterparts!

So here's to you Lebron, and Venus and Serena, here's to you Randy Moss and Terell Owens- what did they think you guys did that was so bad, anyway?

I wish the worst thing people had done to me is to dance in the end zone when they score against me!

Here's to you out there, all you Black athletes who have handled fame and money so well, who have been gentlemen and ladies when you could have been assholes!

You deserve a lot more praise than you get!

And thank you for all the amazing sports moments!

God loves you!

Sincerely,
