The ideal condition in life

The ideal condition in life is to be highly sensitive to the good things    and not sensitive to the bad things.

Thing is, no one is born this way.  You have to work to be this way.

I was born hypersensitive to everything.

Good things.    Bad things.

This is my autism.

I am grateful for it.

For you are either born numb to everything, or sensitive to everything.

You need to work to become sensitive to the good things and numb to the bad things.

My hypersensitivity is a great gift, for which I am grateful.

For I may have been born hypersensitive to the bad things.

But I am not numb to the good things.

If I had been born numb to everything, I might have never known how many beautiful good things are out there!

I may have never known how beautiful an oak or redwood or pine tree is, or how precious a child or a cat or a neighbor like you is!

I may have never felt the full beauty of a warm sunny day or the cool beauty of a cool cloudy Fall day!

I may have never known how precious all forms of life are!

I am grateful that I was born hypersensitive!

And I get to write about the stuff I am hypersensitive to, so that you too can know what is out there!

And you too can learn to be sensitive to the good things as you learn to be numb to the bad things!

Thank you Lord for the gifts you have bestowed upon me, and for letting me share those gifts!

God loves you!

Sincerely,

David S. Annderson
