My version of Historian's impartiality

Usually it is said that a historian's job in order to be impartial is to keep one's distance, to avoid favoring any one side or getting close to anything emotionally.

Not me.

For me, my job as a historian is to be impartial by making sure I give every side as much love as they deserve.

I am not an unattached observer.

I am a historian who loves each and every side. All of them.

I am a historian who considers it my responsibility to give as much love to each side as they deserve.

If I refuse to get attached to any side, then I am failing.

For I am not a modern historian.

I am a spiritual historian.

It is my responsibility to make sure that everyone gets as much love as they deserve.

I am not a detached observer.

I am a Tolkien, only as a writer of true-life events.

God loves you!

Sincerely,

David S. Annderson
