Religion (and Philosophy): Because Thinking is hard

At least, thinking is hard once you start thinking about God- or doubting God.

When you think about questions of God and the meaning of it all, the thinking gets really hard.

Most people in the West just give up.

They stop believing in God.

And then they realize that without God, is there anything to give our life meaning?

Is the Universe around us even real?

Is our consciousness even real? Are we just mindless computers?

Thinking is hard.

Good thing the great sages of old are there to guide us.

You see, we don't have to figure it out by ourselves.

People like Plato, Christ, the Prophet Isaiah, Thomas Aquinus, Confucius, The Buddha, Lao-tzu and others have done some very serious thinking.

So go ahead. Let the great sages help you. Read Plato. Read the Koran and The Bible. Read Confucius and Seneca and the Upanishads and the writings of the Buddhists.

Thinking is hard. It's okay to ask for help.

It's better than giving up on everything!

God loves you!

Sincerely,
