Black athletes get too much criticism!

I was just watching one of my favorite Youtube videos, of the Gospel music of a church in Africa. I noticed that they appeared to be carrying yellow flags with the logo of the Golden State Warriors basketball team. *(A few days later... I was wrong- it was the Indiana Pacers!) I figured, well, someone on the Golden State Warriors *(or the Indiana Pacers) probably gave money to this church. I'm sure no one gives back to the community more among athletes than 'Black' athletes.

And then I thought, why don't we ever hear about that?

'Black' athletes get too much bad press. We never hear about when they give back to the community. We hear so much of 'Black' athletes who are supposedly arrogant. Back in the early 2000's you always heard of these hot-dog 'Black' wide receivers in the NFL who got so much bad press.

For what? For celebrating? For having a little fun? For dancing in the end zone?

I wish the worst people would do to me is dance in the end zone when they score against me! That'd be great!

Randy Moss and Terrell Owens never did anything disrespectful to anyone! They were good gentlemen who liked to have a little fun and show off for the fans!

And we never hear of the times when 'Black' athletes give back to the community.

Hold your head high. Your people are doing good things. God knows. God will reward them. God knows everything they do.

And so does someone on the Internet.

And here's one 'white' person who appreciates what they do- me!

And I'm sure a lot more like me as well!

God loves you! Keep your head up! You are a precious child of God!

Sincerely,

David S. Annderson
