The Beauty of Elvish Words: Basic Elvish pronounciation made easy

Tolkien's works should be read aloud, especially The Silmarillion, and they are so much more beautiful when you can pronounce the Elvish names fairly well. (It does NOT have to be purfect!) Now, I am the world's worst expert on pronounciation, but I have the AudioBooks (which I cannot reccomend too highly!!!), so I have absorbed the basics, and now when I say Elvish names it is close to the true sound and sounds so beautiful.

These are the rules that have helped me:

-'C' is pronounced hard, like a 'k'

-'G' is also hard, as in 'get' (this is less essential for the beauty of the words than the other three)

-Consecutive vowels are pronounced separately- 'Ea' is 'E-a'

-The rhythm, which is easier to demonstrate: CE-le-born, FE-a-nor, Ce-LE-brim-bor, for example.

I believe these rules apply to both Elvish languages.

Now the Elvish words will reveal their true beauty as you read them aloud!
