The Grass Roots

Some of the great singles of the 1960's came from a group called The Grass Roots.

Two Divided by Love, Sooner or Later, Temptation Eyes...

And especially two of their first three big hits, Let's Live for Today and I'd Wait a Million Years.

The group was a project of producer Steve Barri, a great producer from a great era for music who also co-wrote 'Eve of Destruction'.

The group took off when Steve Barri joined forces with a preexisting group who had called themselves 13th Floor, who with Producer Steve Barri became The Grass Roots.

Steve Barri was a great producer.

Rob Grill was a great dynamic, passionate, soulful lead singer.

And the two complemented each other like chocolate and peanut butter.

Together, with the other two fine singers in the group, and with their talent for finding songs, they produced some of the great singles of the 1960's and early 1970's.

Especially Let's Live for Today and I'd Wait a Million Years.

A lead singer and a producer, both highly talented, who complemented each other like chocolate and peanut butter.

Backed up by the legendary Wrecking Crew.

Musical magic.

In a magical musical era!

God loves you! Thank you, Steve Barri and Rob Grill!

Sincerely,

David S. Annderson
