And now... What became of Classical Athens and her world?

She became the world of the Roman Empire

Which remained in the east, in the lands of Athens, Rhodes, Pergamum, and Alexandria, long after she fell in the west!

As the Hellenistic world, and then the Roman Empire, she embraced the worldview of ancient Egypt

While still being classical Athens

Then she converted to Christianity

And became Byzantium

While still being classical Athens...

And finally she became part of the source of the Islamic world

And the source of Russia!

Wanna know how much of classical Athens remained?

Look up pictures of the Great Mosque of Damascus!

Graceful rows of columns, radiant serene beauty... can't you just see this as Athens's successor?

In Golden Age Baghdad, Islamic art and architecture had a beautiful mathematical symmetry and grace that the Athenians would have loved!

And Greek science, Aristotle, Greek philosophy, Greek mathematics, thrived as Islamic science, philosophy and mathematics!

Sure, the Islamic world was heir to ancient Egypt and Israel and ancient Persia, too...

But they were worthy successors to classical Athens as well!

And there was Russia!

Look up pictures of the great churches of Novgorod!

That's what became of classical Athens and her world!

She converted to the light of Egypt, then converted to Christianity... and became part of the source of the Islamic world alongside Egypt, Persia and Israel... and became the source of Russia!

A lot can happen in a thousand years!

God loves you!

Sincerely,
