I was just thinking, for whatever reason, about Archie Bunker from All in the Family. And I was thinking: despite our differences, there are two things that me and old Archie Bunker can agree on: God and how good it is to have a nice comfy chair.
And then I thought: but me and Archie Bunker would also disagree on God.
Which made me realize this: that if the Jews, the Christians, or the Muslims have a faithful God, it cannot be a Jewish God over here, and a Christian God over there, or a God only for the Christians.
It must be the same God, for all three, if it is a faithful God at all.
This is the thing.
The Jews, the Christians, and the Muslims all believe in Moses and what the Christians call the Old Testament.
All three are the descendents of the Prophet Moses.
So, it's the same Moses, the same One God.
That God made a covenant with the Jews. The Jews remained faithful to that covenant.
That God made a covenant with the Christians. The Christians too remained faithful.
That God made a covenant with the Muslims. The Muslims too remained faithful.
If either of the three groups have a faithful God, it is the same God, and He must be faithful still too all three groups.
I know what I think.
I know God.
I know that He cannot but be faithful to us.
I know how precious we are to Him.
But for some, they need logic.
And so here is a piece of logic.
One God, the same God. Faithful. Always.
God loves you! You cannot imagine, unless you are a parent yourself (or have very strong parental instincts), how precious you are to God!
Never stop loving, never stop believing in Love!
Sincerely,
David S. Annderson
P.S. If Jews, Christians, and Muslims are all children of the same God, that makes us brothers. Brothers can fight sometimes. That doesn't mean that our Father stops loving all His children. We're only human, after all.
