My housemates were watching it. God, how CSI can you get.
I can't believe that they made this in 2005. Surely they knew how grim and awful this would look like next to recent memories of James Cameron's Titanic?
There is no way that a cruise ship, even wrecked, is that ugly.
There are some fine actors, but they are given zero scope for the emotions. Just grim, grim, grim. Come on, give them something to work with here.
And finally, at least they did not try to make it into a TV series. Can you imagine a worst subject for a TV series than a disaster show on a plane or a ship?
You literally cannot have an emotional climax at the end of an episode and still have story for the next episode.
Modern American TV is just awful. The dark ages of American television, starting with CSI and Survivor. Believe me, I have seen far worse than this. A lot of it.
Let's watch Star Trek: Voyager instead!
Or listen to Maureen McGovern sing, from the original Poseidon Adventure! There is a morning after, believe me, I have seen it!
God loves you!
Sincerely,
